Do you have a New Year’s Day tradition? Ours is to have homemade cinnamon rolls! The last hoorah of the holiday food fest. This year I tried a new recipe and it turned out to be the absolute BEST cinnamon roll I’ve EVER tasted! It’s better than Cinnabon, better than any bakery, better than your mom’s, better than …….well, um, …….let’s just say this recipe comes with a warning. If you make these cinnamon rolls (and share them)….with your friends, be prepared for any of the following to occur:
1. They’ll call you after they’ve taken the first bite and profess their eternal love for every ounce of your body, even your toe jam and love handles.
2. They’ll pass out after the first bite, hit their head on the kitchen counter, sustain a concussion, and sue you for damages, despite the fact that the one bite they tasted of your cinnamon roll was the single most profound culinary experience in their miserable little life.
3. They’ll call you and ask for the recipe, saying, “HOW did you make those?”
4. They’ll call you and propose marriage.
The recipe made 7 of these pans full of rolls!
And the vote is……
Because I like to “give credit where credit is due” – I’ll tell you where to find this amazing (and incredibly EASY) recipe if you leave a comment asking for the recipe.
On a side note:
Danae and I made tacos, salsa & stuffed jalapenos for dinner on new years day — some of Danae’s friends joined us for dinner. Those who came for dinner also got to eat the warm cinnamon rolls!
