While the farmhouse movement is still going strong – I want to share a unique farmhouse with you.
This farmhouse belongs to my cousin and her husband. It was built in 1892 and was added on to in the early 1950s. They are the 4th owners. One of the owners who lived in the home over 50 years ago (for 20 years) has visited three times and still keeps in contact with them. I love that! For some of us, our homes hold so many memories that we feel compelled to return to our former homes if only to look at from the outside. If we are lucky, we get invited inside.
Their cozy home exudes warmth and personality (just like the people who live there) and it reflects their travels and family history through beautiful antiques, art, and keepsakes. I’ll be sharing more of their home, and some of their unique decor items in a future post.
The floor to ceiling bay window is an incredible focal point in the room and really showcases the beautiful countryside around their farmhouse.
We enjoyed coffee in this room every morning and snacks in the evening and every single moment was magical.
