The weekend
Friday afternoon I went to the Cities with two friends to a Vintage Boutique that one of my friends former classmates owns. It was very interesting and neat. They were having an open house so as we sipped wine, we looked at (and tried on) some amazing clothing from the 1930’s, ’40’s and ’50’s. They were in mint condition and sharp, classy items.
After the boutique, we went to our hotel, then to dinner at Don Pablos, then back to the hotel to do some “girl talking” then to bed.
Saturday
We got up around 8am and after a (nice & free) hotel breakfast we headed to the “Shoppes at Arbor Lakes” – which is a beautiful shopping area, and it was decorated for Christmas…which I didn’t even mind. I got quite a bit of Christmas shopping done, which was awesome for me! We got home around 5:15 pm and I quickly changed my clothes and “freshened up” then Kirk and I headed over to our friends Matt and Suzy’s house for dinner. Matt did ALL the cooking and it was fabulous! After dinner we played some “Sequence” while enjoying some adult beverage. I even drank something with real gold flecks in it!!! (I was told my poop will be worth something now!)
Sunday
Church. Then Danae and I went Christmas Shopping…and Danae shopping. We had lunch at Subway then shopped more….we didn’t get home until around 5:30 pm. I got a LOT more Christmas shopping done too! Oh man, this is feeling really good. I think I’m on a roll and might go at lunch tomorrow and then in the evening! Yahoo!
