Country Music often gets an undeserved bad rap. Just like any genre of music, there is good, and there is bad. Rascal Flatts happens to be one of my favorite Country groups. Their songs and music stir my soul.
“I Will Stand By You” is my favorite Rascal Flatts song.
This song. It Speaks. To. Me.
On so many different levels.
Like the guys from Rascal Flatts (Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus, and Joe Don Rooney) say, there are a lot of different scenarios you can draw from this song…
Unconditional love and support for your kids —
or your spouse, a best friend, a sibling.
Maybe this song draws you to God reminding you that He is standing by you.

Then leave a comment telling me the scenario you draw.
I’ll bet that it draws some emotion or connection for everyone.
I listed my connections above.
It’s like a storm
That cuts a path
It breaks your will
It feels like that
You think you’re lost
But you’re not lost on your own,
You’re not alone
I will stand by you,
I will help you through
When you’ve done all you can do
and you can’t cope
I will dry your eyes,
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
and I won’t let go
It hurts my heart to see you cry
I know its dark this part of life
Oh it find us all and we’re to small
to stop the rain
Oh but when it rains
I will stand by you,
I will help you through
When you’ve done all you can do
and you can’t cope
I will dry your eyes,
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
and I won’t let you fall
Don’t be afraid to fall
I’m right here to catch you
I won’t let you down
It won’t get you down
You’re gonna make it
I know you can make it
Cause I will stand by you,
I will help you through
When you’ve done all you can do
and you can’t cope
I will dry your eyes,
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
and I won’t let go
Oh I’m gonna hold you
and I won’t let go
Won’t let you go
No I won’t
