Cincinnati Adventure

CheriCREATIVE ENDEAVORS, FAVORITE PHOTOS, GENERAL

Back in February Mr. D and I spent a few days in Cincinnati visiting our girl.  While Mr. D worked remotely, and Cara worked, I found different ways to keep busy.

One day while planning my free time, I got this crazy idea to contact Pastor Ryan and see if he’d be interested in hanging out with me for awhile and talk about photography — you know, maybe give me a few tips.  It was a long-shot.  Ryan is a bit of a blog world celebrity.  He writes a fabulous blog and has been a guest blogger on The Pioneer Woman’s blog several times AND he’s been to The Pioneer Woman’s Ranch.

It wasn’t like I’d never met Ryan before.  A couple years back when we were visiting our Cincinnati girl we went to church with her at Westside Vineyard.  Her church.  His church. I blogged about my visit here.

Ryan is a great guy.  He graciously agreed to meet with me (at his office) and give me some tips on using my camera.  As Ryan showed me some settings and talked photography, he would take pictures in his office.

Mostly pictures of his bookshelves.

I love looking at other people’s bookshelves

I believe the books people read and have on their shelves

 speak volumes about the person.

Ryan, thanks for the lesson — and for sharing some of your valuable time with me.
