Our firstborn hit the tarmac running on Wednesday morning. Her plane was right on time — and I was ready to lavish a long hug on her at 8:50 a.m. at the Rochester Airport.
We grabbed her pretty polka dot luggage and headed for Starbucks downtown where we planned our day — at least our morning — which included thrift shopping at a resale shop.
It worked out that her BF of 19+ years and her sweet little one, was able to come for a swim and catch up time.
Later my girl and I
- tried a new recipe from a new favorite website.
- walked to our old neighborhood to visit her BFs family.
- I walked home, the girlfriends went to a movie.
- I went to bed.
Today this young lady ran her own personal 5K after breakfast.
Then we canned pears and tomatoes.
went downtown for the last of the Thursday night activities
where our Wild One got herself some traditional henna
It’s so pretty
I love henna — but I’m a bit more conservative
I love that our Wild One goes all out.
She went to bed early tonight — I think we’ve tired the girl out!
Tomorrow is another kitchen adventure. She wants to master a pie crust — and we have a project we want to try!
