Back in the literal saddle, and back in the blogging saddle. We enjoyed a wonderful week with our firstborn during her vacation/visit. It was a week full of shopping, talking, two trips to the Cities, shopping, movies, shopping, laughing, dining out. and in., staying up late, going to bed early because we stayed up too late, and a little sleeping in (for some of us) and even managed a free (sprayed) sun tan (more on that in another post).
The shopping was fun (and productive), however, I think the girls would say the couple hours they spent riding Layla and Faith was a highlight of the week.
After a couple minutes of walking in the ring,
they went right into a trot
and then a lope
(which is called a cantor in english riding)
Loping is a nice easy stride, that moves fairly quickly
as you can see by Danae’s hair, and Cara’s expression!
Colleen, my bosses daughter, took the girls for
a ride down the road
My girls did a great job riding
definitely had less fear than their momma when she started riding!
I loved seeing them ride.
