Our boy came home from college last night.
With his laundry.
And with his wonderful sense of humor.
He came home for a dentist appointment he had this morning
But I know he really wanted to see me — he misses me. alot. So he uses the dentist as an excuse to come visit his momma.
Tonight we had some fun playing a new game on the computer — a trivia game.
Sporcle — it’s online trivia — with unending trivia topics — that must be answered within a specified time or your computer starts to smoke. DIY Guy and I quickly realized how much of our memory is . . .
“Gone like a freight-train, gone like yesterday
Gone like a soldier in the civil war, bang bang
Gone like a ’59 Cadillac
Like all the good things that ain’t never coming back”
(Thanks Montgomery Gentry for those lyrics)
I remember song lyrics like nobody’s business — sometimes I think in song lyrics — but I rarely can remember who did the song, or the name of the song. That’s when Baby Girl steps up to the plate and helps me out. She is a music/artist/song guru. Thanks for help’n me tonight sweetie!
So, Sporcle… give it a try . . . take a peek below at a music option…and if you are like me, you will be able to sing most of the songs below….but naming the movie…that’s another story!
Our boy just left for his drive to Winona — it’s nearly 11pm. Now I’m supposed to go to bed, and sleep. That won’t happen til he calls — if he remembers. Of course when he gets to school he’ll be working — drivin’ the van. He’s nearly 23 years old, and he still keeps me up at night!
