In the words of Snoopy

CheriCREATIVE ENDEAVORS, FAVORITE PHOTOS, GENERAL

I can appreciate that weather posts are tiresome – and overdone.
Nevertheless, the “weather gene”, which has deposited DNA to a third generation –(our boy),  is what lured DIY Guy out into stormy weather tonight, my camera in hand, to take these awesome photos.

Those who know DIY Guy —
understand that boasting is definitely not in his DNA

which explains his surprised reaction
when he saw me posting his pictures

as he humbly said,
“I didn’t think they (the pictures) were that good.”

I believe they are that good
and believe they should be shared.

Education moment:
The phrase, “It was a dark and stormy night” — it’s an example of a florid, melodramatic style of fiction writing  conjured up by the English Victorian novelist, playwright and politician, Sir Edward George Earle Bulwer-Lytton.  He also gets credit for this phrase:  “The pen is mightier than the sword.”

and now, for the rest next part of the story….
“It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents – except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.”
