Our current home is the third home we’ve “owned”
and the first home that has a usable attic.
The attic is in the garage
and has a not-so-secret trap door in the ceiling
and a fold-down ladder
basically, it’s a junk magnet
that sucks up the stuff we rarely use
or don’t use at all, or think we will use someday.
The attic is also where we keep our —
Easter, Fall, Arbor Day,
Valentine’s Day, Flag Day
and
Christmas decorations
I still haven’t wrapped a single present
or finished baking
or done my grocery shopping
or cleaned my bathroom.
I think I’ll just go to bed now,
