Back in September I showed you this photo of Kirk teaching our baby girl how to add steering fluid to her little Toyota. DIY guy has been an excellent teacher of all things automobile to our three offspring.
The day after Christmas while the girls and I were shopping we got a call from #1 son asking where we were and if we could come give the car a “jump”….he’d left his lights on. We were very near so we pulled in the parking lot….
saw his car — and pulled up in front of it. The girls immediately jumped out of our car (I was driving)
and got down to business hooking up the jumper cables.
Shortly after they started hooking the cars up, Nate showed up….he was still in the store.
Cara learned how to use the jumper cables out of necessity — she had a bad habit of leaving her lights on when she was in high school.
I’m glad DIY guy taught them some “motor skills”. I’m proud of my kids for knowing how to do all this stuff. Especially the girls! The girls have even had to show a few guys how to jump a car!
P.S. I sat in the warmth and comfort of my car the entire time šŸ™‚
